Brazed plate heat exchanger is a new high-efficiency heat exchanger fabricated by stacking a set of corrugated metal sheets and brazing. It is composed of front and rear end plates and herringbone corrugated plates. Adjacent plates have corrugations oriented in opposite directions, and the crests of plate assemblies intersect to form numerous contact points. Vacuum brazing melts the brazing filler metal to form an alloy with the base material, turning every contact point between plates into a welded joint. This structure improves both the mechanical strength and heat transfer efficiency of the heat exchanger.
